Dear Friend,
Today at 1 p.m., the Oversight Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties will hold a hearing examining preparations for the 2020 Census. The purpose of this hearing is to examine the areas in which the Bureau is at risk of missing key milestones, as well as its efforts to conduct a complete count in hard-to-count communities. A livestream of today's hearing will be available here.
As Chair of the Subcommittee, I look forward to welcoming U.S. Census Bureau Director Steven Dillingham to the hearing. I believe that every person matters under our Constitution and am doing all that I can to address community concerns about the accuracy of the upcoming Census. Please take my brief survey below to share any concerns you may have.
Stay close, and I hope you can join me virtually for today's important event!
All Best,
Jamie Raskin
