The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has proposed converting a warehouse located in the Chester Industrial Park into an ICE detention facility. ICE acting director Todd Lyons said his goal for his new ICE facilities is for them to be "like Amazon Prime, but with human beings."

 As a nation, we're seeing what happens when ICE comes into communities - most recently in Minneapolis where an ICE officer shot and killed an unarmed civilian.

This inhumanity is the direct result of this Administration's militarization of immigration enforcement, with an ICE budget bigger than most militaries.

This isn't what our country is about and it sure isn't what our Hudson Valley community is about.
