An outsider looking at the United States would see a nation that has lost control of its borders, lost control of its currency, and lost its prestige around the world. What might be the most glaring observation, however, is that the national government spends almost $2 trillion per year more than it brings in — plus $1 trillion of interest on the national debt.

The very existence of the United States is at stake.

Certainly, the freedoms that we used to take for granted are at stake, such as:

• Free speech (the Biden administration and government apparatus work to censor speech).

• Freedom of religion (the FBI asserts that Catholics are prone to domestic terrorism, pro-life protesters are arrested, charged and jailed but pro-abortion protesters aren’t).

• Equal justice before the law (conservatives and MAGA supporters get sentenced to years in prison while Biden family members and Black Lives Matter and antifa rioters aren’t charged or receive a comparative slap on the wrist).

• Freedom of the press (the old-school press is the propaganda arm of the Democratic National Committee, the federal government spies on journalists that investigate and report on corruption on the left).

In the meantime, congressional leaders insist that we keep our annual spending deficit somewhere around $2 trillion, not including the $1 trillion interest charge. Every year, we add at least that much to our unsustainable national debt — which has resulted in a downgrade of the United States’ credit rating. Few believe that we will ever be able to pay off the national debt. The term “generational theft” is apt.

We have never seen anything like this. The left controls every institution and abuses American citizens. The federal police apparatus and an intelligence community (FBI, CIA, National Security Agency) routinely spy on Americans without probable cause and without a warrant.

Education institutions, from kindergarten to postgraduate, indoctrinate students in a false narrative of history and inculcate an anti-religious worldview that sanctions standards that change American culture into an unrecognizable mishmash of licentiousness rather than responsible liberty.

In our latest “never-ending war,” we are sending hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine, which has lost untold amounts of U.S. dollars through waste, incompetence and corruption.

The U.S. government is the No. 1 human sex trafficker in the world as it facilitates the open border policies of the Biden regime, which is more evidence that the regime seems to hate America and its citizens.

Once-great cities have become fetid hotbeds of crime, violent lunacy, and cesspools of excrement.

The U.S. has tremendous energy and mineral resources but is forced to import oil and gas and critical minerals because of the Biden bureaucratic overreach. This makes us dependent on slave drivers in Congo, slave masters in China, and ruthless communist dictators who control resources that we want and need but are prohibited from producing in the dystopian Biden era.

And Congress proposes spending at levels that add to our economic woes.

The institutions of the left are driving us into a bog of spending and policy that is so filled with danger that we may never get out.

Congress, the one institution of government charged with giving us a reasonable spending plan, has failed yet again to follow its own laws regarding the budget process by failing to pass 12 spending bills before the end of the fiscal year.

And now Congress argues for the continuation of the Biden-Pelosi-Schumer spending levels and performance theater language about the border that the regime routinely ignores.

That leads back to the opening question: How much longer will Congress fund an administration and its bureaucratic minions in President Biden’s quest to destroy the nation?
