Larson Votes to Expand Apprenticeship Programs, Critical to CT Manufacturing

November 20, 2020

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted for the National Apprenticeship Act of 2020 that would create 1 million new apprenticeships across the country.

"Apprenticeships are critical to strengthening Connecticut's manufacturing ecosystem. That's why I support the National Apprenticeship Act of 2020 to create 1 million new apprenticeships. Registered apprenticeships have been the most successful federal workforce training program and they allow workers to learn on the job while being paid. Connecticut currently has more than 5,000 active apprenticeships and this new investment will expand those opportunities," said Larson.
