The Florida Department of Education works closely with school districts before, during and after natural disasters to ensure they have the resources necessary to resume normal operations as quickly as possible. K-12 School Closures

• Columbia County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Escambia County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• FAMU Lab School will be closed Friday, May 10, 2024.
• FSU Lab School will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Gulf County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Hamilton County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Leon County Schools will be closed Friday, May 10, 2024.
• Levy County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Liberty County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Okaloosa County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Santa Rosa County Schools will delay the start of school by two hours on Friday, May 10, 2024. 5 schools in the North end of the county are closed.
• Suwannee County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Taylor County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Walton County Schools will reopen Monday, May 13, 2024.

• Tallahassee State College will be closed Friday, May 10, 2024.

State University Closures

• Florida A&M University will be closed Friday, May 10, 2024.
• Florida State University will be closed Friday, May 10, 2024.
