Rep. Schneider Announces Local Transportation Priority Projects
Submissions to House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee part of reauthorization process for federal highway and transit legislation
DEERFIELD, IL – Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) today announced his submissions as Member Designated Projects (MDP) to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The Committee is considering requests as part of the 2021 reauthorization of federal surface transportation legislation. Congressman Schneider's submissions will prioritize the local projects' funding.
"I submitted projects for funding that I am confident will improve transportation for residents across the Tenth District and, at the same time, shrink our district's carbon footprint. In making this year's selections, I prioritized projects that would help a broad cross-section of our district, regardless of location, background, or mode of transportation. Everyone from drivers to bus riders to bikers and Metra commuters will benefit from these projects, and I hope that the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure will prioritize these projects for funding," said Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10).
