Pappas Secures Funding for Public Safety, Infrastructure, and Workforce Projects

December 23, 2022

Today, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) announced that the final government funding legislation for fiscal year (FY) 2023 includes resources he secured for key community projects in New Hampshire. These priorities include improving public safety and supporting our first responders and law enforcement, strengthening our manufacturing and skilled workforce, investing in our infrastructure, and helping New Hampshire families.

“The community project funding secured in this package will improve public safety and support our first responders and law enforcement, strengthen our manufacturing and skilled workforce, invest in our infrastructure, and help New Hampshire families and children," said Congressman Chris Pappas. "Our community-driven process identified projects with strong local support that will help ensure New Hampshire communities and organizations have the resources they need to help drive economic growth, keep families safe, and rebuild our infrastructure. I am proud to have worked closely with community leaders across the First District to deliver targeted funding for these important priorities, and I will continue to advocate for the needs of our state in my work in Washington."

Pappas has been praised for his transparency and community involvement in selecting these projects. Community Project Funding has bipartisan support in Congress, with both House Democrats and Republicans supporting a transparent process as a way to target funds to projects that make sense for the district.
