Burgess remarks on NDAA legislation

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 (NDAA); it is now expected to be conferenced with the Senate version.

“No bill is perfect; however, there were a number of provisions within this legislation that caused great concern, especially the ones that would infringe on the second amendment rights of our service members,” said Burgess. “We have been told that many of these provisions will be removed at Conference. If that is true, I will vote in support of the Conference report.”
