Van Orden Votes to Keep Government Open

WASHINGTON, DC – Following his vote to avert a government shutdown, Rep. Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) released the following statement:

“I came to Congress to work on behalf of the veterans, farmers, and families in Wisconsin’s Third District. That is why today, I voted to pay our troops, continue support for agriculture, secure the border, and keep the government open and working for the American people.

“We need to responsibly fund our government while supporting the priorities of our constituents. Over the next 45 days, I will work with any of my colleagues who are willing to negotiate in good faith, and I will continue to hold any Democrat or Republican individually accountable if they hold our government hostage for appearances on cable news.”
