Currently, the hospital does not have an MRI unit and patients must travel far and wide to larger hospitals outside of Berryville to receive the care they need. Additionally, Mercy Berryville is a part of the first ever Rural Training Program (RTP) and will have RTP family practice residents beginning in July. An MRI unit will improve the training of the physician residents. This district-directed funding will ensure Berryville’s easy access to top-notch care and services!

Looking Ahead
Next week, Congress is back in full swing to fulfill our fundamental duty of responsibly funding the government. The House will vote on 3 of the 12 annual appropriations bills, all focused on defending America: the Homeland Security bill, the State and Foreign Operations bill, and the Defense bill. If you remember, each of these passed out of the Appropriations Committee last week.
The Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee on Appropriations will mark up the Fiscal Year 2025 bill I drafted as Chairman of the Subcommittee next week. This bill has significant impacts on our state and district, prioritizing the vital infrastructure, transportation, and housing needs while safeguarding hard-earned taxpayer dollars. I will be sure to keep you updated as things progress!
Have a great weekend ahead, and I hope to see you around! Be sure to check out my website, Twitter, and Instagram pages in the meantime.
