Around the District
Serving Third District Arkansans
A significant part of my job representing Arkansans is fulfilling my constitutional duty by casting votes, advocating for policies important to the district, and being their voice in Washington, D.C. Another significant duty of mine takes place back at home in Arkansas’ Third by offering casework services through the help of my fantastic team in my Rogers and Fort Smith offices. Although we can’t override the decisions made by a federal agency, we can often intervene on a person's behalf to answer questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape to try to expedite the process. You can find a list of agencies that we can help you with here, but regardless of where you need help, you must fill out an authorization form, here.
If you plan to visit our nation’s capital, my office in Washington, D.C. is here to serve you! My team can schedule tours of federal buildings to ensure you experience the rich history of our country on your visit. Whether it’s tours of the Capitol, the White House, or any other sights in D.C., you can fill out a tour request form here.
These are just some of the services we offer to Third District Arkansans. For additional resources, please visit my website here. If you ever need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my offices. We look forward to serving you!
Highlights from the week
The Colonel is a Hall of Famer! I had the honor of introducing my dad, Kermit Womack, who was one of the five Arkansas Broadcasters Association’s inductees of the inaugural Hall of Fame class. This is a fitting honor for a man who’s given more than 70 years of his life to his community and nation. Congratulations!
One of the highlights of my week was being the special guest picker at Rogers High School’s version of College Gameday. One thing’s for sure—we’re all looking forward to seeing the Hogs beat LSU this weekend!
Teachers throughout Arkansas’ Third work each and every day to develop America’s next generation of leaders. I’m always proud to see this great work in action, which was on full display at Prairie Grove High School. I stopped by Mr. Eaton and Dr. Hubbard’s classes to visit with students, answer questions, and tell them about what’s happening in Congress. I’m grateful for our educators, and I’m inspired by the engagement from their students during my visit!
I had a great visit with the hardworking people at MoistureShield in Springdale. They are on the cutting edge of new technologies to enhance outdoor living spaces and wood composite decking. They continue to lead in the industry and have undergone two expansions since 2020! I'm proud of what they do here in AR-3.
Arkansas Truck Center is a family-owned and operated business dedicated to commercial truck sales, services, and parts. On my tour, I got to hear about how Greg and his father Don started the business in 1993. There are now three generations of the Cochran family involved in the business! The Cochrans showed me the Arkansas Truck Center’s commitment to quality and community in the trucking industry throughout my visit.
Speaking candidly with folks in the district is what gives me a pulse on issues important to them and how my work in D.C. can help. We had a great conversation at the Crawford County Joint Chambers of Commerce roundtable, where I heard about issues ranging from the crisis at the southern border, the need to address our unsustainable debt, the Biden Administration’s burdensome EV mandates, and ways to improve our infrastructure. I will use every tool in my toolkit to find solutions to benefit Third District Arkansans.
Copher’s Boat Center in Fort Smith is another third generation, family-owned and operated business that opened in 1971 by Bill Copher and his father. Copher’s is known for their wide selection of boats and top-tier service support. Bill shared with me some of the challenges his business—like many others—currently face, such as high interest and inflation. These are issues I continue to focus on in Congress. I was glad Bill’s grandson, Carter, tagged along for the tour. He’ll be the fourth generation at Copher’s! I appreciate the visit!
I had a great discussion with leaders in the Arkansas agriculture industry in my office today about the 2024 Farm Bill. This comprehensive, multiyear package governs an array of agricultural and food programs, and it’s supposed to be signed into law by the end of this year. Our nation’s food security depends on strong agricultural policy that provides stability and opportunity for farmers, ranchers, and producers across Arkansas and the nation. It was helpful to hear directly from those who know this industry best, so that I can bring their ideas and priorities back to Congress’ Farm Bill discussion.
