RECAP: Drop Zone 2026
After seven years, my office hosted its final Drop Zone event on Saturday. Hundreds of veterans and constituents stopped by to receive assistance from the Veterans Administration (VA) and learn about services available to them in the community.
Take a look below at some photos from the event. And be sure to follow me on social media to see more content in the coming weeks! Thank you for your service!

Colorado River Funding is Finally Moving After My Push. A Major Win for Arizona's Water Future.
In April, along with Rep. Greg Stanton, I sent a letter to the Interior Department and the Office of Management and Budget to release long-stalled drought relief funds for the Colorado River Basin. Arizona needs these dollars now to strengthen long-term conservation projects and stabilize Lake Mead and Lake Powell for our water and energy security.
We are now seeing results. Interior and OMB have approved $450 million for new water preservation efforts across the Upper and Lower Basins. This funding gives Arizona real leverage as the next set of river management guidelines takes shape.
I have been a consistent leader on this issue, and I will continue working with Secretary Burgum and President Trump to ensure Arizona has the resources it needs to secure our water future. With federal dollars finally moving, we can keep Arizona’s conservation leadership strong and protect the Colorado River for generations to come.
Were you previously aware of the ongoing negotiations with the Colorado River allotment and Arizona's standing among the Basin States? |

National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
I joined the House in supporting H.Res.1257, designating May 5 as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. The date honors Hanna Harris and reminds us that this is not a regional problem but a national crisis.
One of my first acts in Congress was partnering with the late Senator John McCain to pass the Ashlynne Mike AMBER Alert in Indian Country Act. That law closed a loophole that kept tribes from accessing Department of Justice grants to build child‑abduction alert systems on Native lands. It was named for Ashlynne Mike, an 11‑year‑old Navajo girl who was abducted and murdered in 2016.
That work continues now, guided by law, driven by duty, and grounded in humanity. Tribal communities face violence from local crime, gang activity, transnational gangs, cartels, and human trafficking. This crisis demands the nation’s full attention and urgent action. I will keep pressing for reforms, funding, and partnerships that give tribal leaders the tools to find the missing and bring perpetrators to justice.
