Happy Independence Day! 

250 years ago, our Founding Fathers formally adopted the Declaration of Independence. What started as an experiment in government has become a country that stands alone as the greatest and most free land in the history of our world.

The Founders’ inspired vision of self-determination and independence has stayed with Americans for centuries. Today, this same spirit guides our paths.

I am grateful to serve you in Congress during this momentous occasion and will continue to do all I can to promote the ideals on which our nation was founded two and a half centuries ago. May God bless you, your families, and the United States of America.
