Fighting for American Energy

I was recently named an American Energy Champion by the American Energy Alliance, earning a perfect 100% score on the organization’s American Energy Scorecard for the 119th Congress.

I will continue fighting to unleash our nation’s vast energy resources, eliminate unnecessary federal regulations, strengthen our electric grid, and ensure that the United States never has to depend on hostile foreign nations to power our economy.

Protecting Crime Victims in Indian Country

Last month, my U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime continued its work to prioritize victims of violent crime and strengthen public safety in Indian Country. We learned important information about what Congress and federal law enforcement can do to strengthen public safety and improve outcomes for Tribal communities.

I am working to secure Arizona’s water future.
Others Agree.

Following my introduction of the Colorado River Basin and Infrastructure Act, several public officials expressed their support for this landmark legislation:

“Arizona Farm Bureau supports efforts to strengthen Colorado River water security and advance the infrastructure investments necessary to protect the long-term water needs of Arizona and the entire Basin. We appreciate Congressman Andy Biggs’ leadership in introducing the Colorado River Basin Water Security and Infrastructure Act and his recognition that addressing the Colorado River’s challenges requires meaningful action, long-term planning, and solutions that expand our water resources.” -Arizona Farm Bureau

“Arizona can’t make it rain or snow, but we can take action to secure our water future. Arizona has known for years that shortages could put the Central Arizona Project at risk. Valuable time to develop alternative supplies has already been lost, and we cannot afford to lose any more. That’s why we worked with Congressman Biggs to make sure Arizona’s priorities helped shape this federal plan.” -Warren Peterson, Arizona Senate President

The bill would expand water supplies, accelerate critical infrastructure projects, and strengthen long-term water security throughout the Colorado River Basin. I look forward to its passage!

Meetings and District Events

ImageI spoke at a ribbon cutting for Northrop Grumman, a global aerospace, defense, and security company that opened its newest location in Gilbert. Over the years, Arizona has become a critical center for some of the most advanced aerospace defense work in the United States. Now, we have the opportunity to further that growth in AZ-05. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
God bless America!

ImageMy office’s Veterans Affairs liaison attended the Veterans Affinity coffee this morning. Chuck Byers and Dr. Carl Forkner, both veteran service officers in Arizona, spoke to the group and answered questions regarding the Veteran Administration disability claim process. If you need assistance with the VA, please call my Mesa office at (480) 699-8239.
