Dear Friend,
I hope you and your family are staying safe and well. I am working to ensure Arizonans are kept up to date on any COVID-19 related news and resources on my website.
I understand many individuals have been facing frustrations with the different vaccine registration websites, and my team and I are doing our best to assist those struggling during this process. Please visit the AZDHS and Maricopa County websites below to check on appointment availability, and for further information on receiving your COVID-19 vaccination:
Today, the Phoenix Municipal Stadium opened its second state-run vaccination site.
Please see below for updates in Arizona, my work in DC, and the steps to recognize an exceptional individual you may know in the district.
Recognize an Arizonan!
Do you know of a member of our community that is deserving of a Congressional Recognition based off their hard work, accomplishments, or community service? If so, please take a moment to highlight them by requesting a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District.
There are so many amazing businesses and volunteers who have gone above and beyond these last few months, from COVID-19 related issues, to helping fellow Arizonans. I want to recognize these individuals for their selfless actions and for what they do on a daily basis to better our community. Thank you all for helping, and I look forward to honoring our neighbors!
Medal of Honor Row
I am pleased to see the new sign installation along our roadways to honor Arizonans who have received a Medal of Honor for their brave act of valor. Each sign, 37 in total, are dedicated to these heroes, and I applaud Arizona for this newest addition. You can find the signs along Pinnacle Peak and Cave Creek roads.
We can't thank our brothers and sisters in uniform enough for their selfless actions taken each day to keep us, and this country, safe.
Invest Now Act
Our economy is still recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This week, I reintroduced a piece of legislation designed to promote long-term economic growth by encouraging individuals to immediately purchase real estate, stocks, bonds and other forms of property. The Invest Now Act of 2021 will temporarily reduce the capital gains rate to 5 percent for assets purchased in 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
We must get our economy back to the record breaking data we saw just last year, and by incentivizing businesses and individuals to purchase certain assets, we can promote growth and investment. To read more on this legislation, please click here.
