Dear Friend,

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and had a Happy Halloween. Last week was another busy session in Congress and back home in AZ-06.

You Deserve To Hear The Truth

Last week, I spoke on the House floor and had an honest conversation about our nation's current economic demographics. More specifically, I walked through the economic consequences that the Democrats' massive nearly two trillion dollar tax and spending plan will have if it passes. The data is clear - this package will have disastrous affects in both the short and long term.

This amount of spending is not good for the American people. It would undoubtedly raise the tax burden on working families, subsidize wealthy corporations, push us well past the debt limit, and cripple our children's futures. We need to come to terms with a very real reality: the government does not have an endless supply of money.

We Need A Stronger Labor Market To Grow Economically

Image

Last week, I participated in the Joint Economic Committee's hearing to discuss the nation's labor force participation rate (LFPR). Recent research has shown a stark contrast in LFPR both pre and post pandemic.

In 2020, the pandemic and following economic shutdowns caused many people to leave their jobs and stopped some from looking for work altogether. Unfortunately, since coming out of the pandemic, we have not come close to the LFPR we were at in both 2018 and 2019 when Republicans passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

I discussed how the child tax credit expansion proposed by my brothers and sisters on left has the capacity to repress our LFPR even further by devaluing labor and decreasing earnings. Without valuable labor, parents cannot make the earnings necessary to support their children. I am troubled that the Democrats' policies will only deepen poverty for the people we need to lift up.

Speaking At The Opening Ceremony For The Centennial Torah Project

This past weekend, I spoke at the opening ceremony for the Centennial Torah Project, where myself, and members of the community came together to celebrate the introduction of a new Torah at the Congregation Beth Israel in Scottsdale.

It was a privilege to gather with members of the congregation and so many constituents for such a momentous and faithful event. I was honored to speak about the importance of the Torah and the critical role it plays for the Jewish people.
