Important Information for Those Who Missed the April Tax Deadline

The IRS has highlighted several resources to help taxpayers who missed the April 2025 federal income tax return filing deadline and owe taxes interest and penalties.
"Taxpayers who owe taxes should file their tax return and pay as soon as they can. Interest and penalties will continue to accrue on the owed taxes until the balance is paid in full. Even if a taxpayer cannot afford to immediately pay the full amount of taxes owed, they should still file a tax return and pay as much as possible."

Recognizing Some Amazing Citizens of AZ-01

It was a pleasure to meet with Lewis Esterly and his family last week. Lewis is one of 17 outstanding students from our district appointed to a U.S. service academy this year. Later this summer, he will report to West Point, where he will begin his journey toward becoming a leader in our nation’s military.
I often say it, but it bears repeating: meeting the young men and women who represent the future of our country is one of the greatest privileges of this job. That feeling is even more meaningful when so many of them come from our own community.
To Lewis, thank you for your commitment to serve. We’re proud of you and wish you the very best in the years ahead.
