Serving Constituents in AZ06.

Since taking office in January 2023, my team and I have helped return over $12 million to more than 200 constituents. These funds represent veterans’ benefits, Social Security payments, tax refunds, and other federal resources that people were owed but are struggling to access.

Helping constituents cut through red tape and get the support they deserve is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. My office is here to assist with challenges involving federal agencies, and we’ll keep working every day to make government work for the people it serves.

If you have a problem with a federal government agency or department, my office would be honored to assist you. Call my Tucson District Office at 520-881-3588 or go to my website, ciscomani.house.gov, click on “Services” at the top of the screen and then “Help With a Federal Agency.”

Honoring our Teachers and Support Staff in Casa Grande.

As a father of six and a proud product of public schools, I know firsthand the vital role educators play in helping the next generation achieve the American Dream. Our teachers, supported by dedicated staff, work tirelessly to open doors of opportunity and inspire our students to reach their goals.

That’s why I was honored to be invited to Casa Grande Union High School District’s 3rd Annual Congressman Juan Ciscomani American Dream Awards, to recognize our exceptional educators and support staff who make a difference every single day in our students’ lives. At this year’s ceremony, I was honored to present the "Congressman Juan Ciscomani American Dream Inspirational Educator Award" to 22 special educators. Our community is grateful for their tireless dedication to ensuring that our children receive the best education and opportunities to succeed.

Lastly, I want to congratulate the eight support staff recipients of the "Congressman Juan Ciscomani American Dream Inspirational Education Supporter Award" for their behind-the-scenes efforts that make an extraordinary difference in our schools each day.

Hosting a Roundtable on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Last week, I had the privilege of hosting a roundtable with leaders from across Arizona’s 6th congressional district to highlight the critical wins we secured for AZ06 through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), which President Trump signed into law in July.

From agriculture and small businesses to law enforcement, technology, and real estate, voices from every corner of our district came together to share how OBBBA is already delivering results, such as:

  • Strengthening border security with new resources
  • Providing permanent tax relief for families and farmers
  • Investing in critical infrastructure
  • Supporting the growth of Arizona’s economy

These conversations with our community and industry leaders are vital for me in my role as your representative, and I remain committed to ensuring that our communities have the tools they need to thrive and continue moving Arizona forward.

Meeting with CBP Air and Marine Operations at Ft. Huachuca.

Last week, I visited with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air & Marine Operations (AMO) to discuss the ongoing efforts and historic trends in securing our southern border.

At the National Air Security Operations Center (NASOC-SV) in Sierra Vista, which is based at Libby Army Airfield, Fort Huachuca, I gained a firsthand look at how CBP AMO advanced aircraft and technology, such as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), secure our southern border, and protect Americans. It was incredibly informative and directly relates to my work in Washington, D.C. as Vice Chair of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Appropriations.

Through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), we passed the most significant border security investment in history, which includes funding to deliver our AMO agents the resources and technology they need to protect Arizona and the rest of our nation.

Specifically, the OBBBA will provide our CBP AMO:

  • Funding for 200 new AMO agents
  • More than $6 billion to help CBP interdict more fentanyl, deploy more border-surveillance technology, enhance AMO’s surveillance capabilities, and increase CBP’s use of the biometric entry and exit system
  • More than $2 billion for USBP and AMO Agents recruitment, award, and retention bonuses

Building the American Dream.

From our skylines to our communities, ironworkers and builders make the American dream possible—constructing the homes, businesses, and infrastructure that sustain our communities and fuel our economy.

I saw this firsthand at J.B. Steel, a 100% employee-owned company in Southern Arizona and one of the state’s leading steel fabricators and erectors. It was great to meet their hardworking team—from the office staff to the ironworkers—who are building a stronger future for our community. Thank you, J.B. Steel, for hosting me!

And the day concluded the Arizona Builders Alliance’s annual dinner—sharing the work I am doing in Congress to support this critical industry. Earlier this year, I introduced H.R. 1055, the Creating Opportunities for New Skills Training at Rural and Underserved Colleges and Trade Schools (CONSTRUCTS) Act, which would create a grant program for community and trade schools to expand construction training, helping students access good-paying jobs, addressing the skilled worker shortage, and lowering housing costs by enabling more homebuilding. Additionally, I also introduced H.R. 1458, the Veterans Education and Technical Skills (VETS) Opportunity Act this year, which would extend educational benefits under the post-9/11 GI Bill to include both in-person and partially online versions of skilled trade training programs.

Thank you to the Arizona Builders Alliance for your ongoing partnership in supporting the great work local manufacturing is doing to create good jobs here at home.

Visiting with Students, Teachers, and Staff of Corona Foothills Middle School.

It was great to meet with students, teachers, and staff of Corona Foothills Middle School (CFMS) in Vail for a fireside chat, where I was deeply impressed by the thoughtful questions they asked, ranging from inquiries about my role in Congress to the legislative law-making process. CFMS’s guiding principle—that the power of education is in a strong community foundation—shows just how connected the school is to the heart of the growing community in Corona de Tucson. Thank you, Principal Steuer, for the invitation!

US lawmakers push to ban troubling practices involving 'iconic' animals: 'Taxpayer dollars should not be funding this abject cruelty'
The Cool Down
“A trio of lawmakers has introduced a bipartisan bill aimed at enforcing more humane treatment for some of the American West's most "iconic" animals. “At the top of the meeting, Rep. Juan Ciscomani encouraged attendees to speak freely. Still as they went around the table, TV cameras looking over their shoulders, most wound up effusively praising the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

Profiles of the American Dream.

Scott McEuen is an inspirational example of someone who has a longstanding commitment to his community.

Scott has been a resident of Casa Grande for 62 years. That’s more than half the time Arizona has been a state. More importantly, Scott’s an educator in the fullest sense of the word. The 1963 University of Arizona graduate has done it all for the Casa Grande Union High School District – he’s a true jack of all trades.

Scott’s first job right out of college was teaching biology at Casa Grande Union High School. Since then, he’s worked as a coach, assistant principal, principal, superintendent and member of the school board – and even drove a school bus for some time!

“I wore a lot of different hats,” he once told the Casa Grande Dispatch

Now 86, Scott’s service to Casa Grande hasn’t been limited to just the school. He’s been involved in civic organizations like the Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, the Task Force on Homelessness, and the Faith Alliance of Casa Grande. He’s also spearheaded efforts to bring area churches together to assist those in need.

“We have broken down so many barriers in this community,” McEuen said. “We kind of set doctrine to the side. People can have their own beliefs — and they should have their own beliefs, and it’s OK — but we can set those (aside) and we can still work together shoulder-to-shoulder.”
