Lesko Meetings

Women’s rights are under attack in this country, but meeting with so many passionate women in Arizona this past weekend gives me hope for the future. We discussed border issues, the national debt, the threat of China, and the importance of protecting women’s sports.

Recently, I had the privilege of touring ViaSat, a provider of high-speed satellite broadband services and secure networking systems covering military and commercial markets. It was great to see so much amazing technology right here at work in Arizona!

It was great catching up with the commissioner of the Border Trade Alliance, member of the Arizona Power Authority, and former Arizona State House Rep. Russell Jones in Washington, D.C. this week. We talked trade policy and what’s going on with energy in Arizona!

I also met with Ashley Thomas of the Arizona Food Bank Network to learn how Congress can better assist families struggling with food insecurity and the food banks helping them.

With the Biden Administration’s constant attacks on the auto industry, I was happy to sit down and talk with the Arizona Auto Dealers Association to discuss the impact of President Biden’s radical climate agenda and the Left’s war on internal combustion engines.

Our nation’s veterans are the backbone of this country and the reason we are able live freely each and every day. This week, I had the opportunity to meet with the Veterans of Foreign Wars to discuss ways Congress can improve the lives of our nation’s veterans.

WATCH: The success of the Phoenix grid system lies in its diversity. We cannot allow the Biden Administration’s radical climate agenda to limit this diversity by banning oil and natural gas. See my remarks on this and grid security from the Energy and Commerce Energy Subcommittee hearing.

WATCH: I don’t know about you, but I hate when the government tries to regulate the water pressure in my shower or ANY of my appliances for that matter!

I’m proud to be introducing another bill to crack down on the Biden’s Administration’s radical energy agenda by setting the standard that any future rule must be technologically feasible and economically justified.

We already passed my Save Our Gas Stoves bill, but we’re just getting started!

WATCH: We must STOP the Biden Administration's ban on gas powered vehicles!

I voted 'yes' on HR 1435, see my remarks below:

WATCH: Doctors spend hours each day prescribing prescriptions off-label to treat a variety of illnesses. Why should it have been any different during the COVID pandemic?

The government and media’s manipulation of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin to scare millions of Americans put a strain on the trust of the American people in the medical community that may not be repaired.

See my remarks on this and more during the COVID Select Subcommittee hearing.

Lesko Legislation

All emails, regardless of their political content, should be given the same opportunities to reach inboxes. I'm pleased to be introducing the Political Bias in Algorithm Sorting Emails Act to make this a reality.

GET THE FACTS: Electric Vehicles

Much to the surprise of those on the left, the American public is actually less interested in electric vehicles than they were last year. In a survey by Autolist about their likelihood to own an electric vehicle in the future, only 39% of respondents said “yes,” compared to 42% just a year ago. Similarly, 26% of respondents said “no” which is up from the 21% who said no in 2022. Still, my counterparts in the Energy and Commerce Committee are committed to forcing Americans to shift to electric vehicles even when its inconvenient to do so. Luckily, House Republicans passed H.R.1435 this week to protect consumer choice in vehicles so you have the freedom to decide what type of car you would like to drive.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office after they moved to a new home within the district and had difficulty contacting the Social Security Administration to update their address. After multiple phone call attempts, they contacted our office for assistance, and we were able to intervene and ensure the correct mailing address was updated with Social Security.
