Lesko Meetings this Week

This week, I had the opportunity to meet with the American Hotel and Lodging Association to discuss the ways in which Congress can support the hospitality and tourism industry in the U.S.

It was great meeting with Ambassador Yerzhan Ashikbayev of Kazakhstan and former Congressman Ed Royce to discuss the relationship between our nations.

I also had the opportunity to meet with ADC Energy to talk about their emerging energy technologies and how Congress can continue to support innovation in the energy sector.

It was great meeting with the Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association to discuss how Congress can better assist heavy duty trucking manufacturers and the trucking industry.

This week, I also had the chance to meet with the new CDC Director, Dr. Mandy Cohen. As the House continues our investigation into the COVID pandemic, it is vital to learn as much about the agencies involved as possible and what steps they are taking to fix past mistakes and improve in the future.

Lesko in the News

$50,000/taxpayer is the cost of President Biden's radical electric vehicle agenda. This is madness! Listen to my thoughts on this, the Senate's refusal to consider House Republicans' border security bill, and more on the Seth Leibsohn Show.

House Republicans already passed our border security bill, but the Senate refuses to take it up for a vote. It's long past time for them to pass the bill. Listen to my thoughts on this, Biden's radical climate agenda, Dr. Fauci, Hunter Biden and more on Fox Across America.

Lesko in Committee

This week, the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight questioned CDC Director Dr. Mandy Cohen on public trust in our medical establishment and federal agencies since COVID. I had the chance to ask her what the CDC is doing to improve their future response and rebuild trust as well as her opinions on masking and government mandates.

Big Win for Amateur Radio

As technology continues to evolve, it is important for the agencies regulating that technology to evolve as well. That’s why I’m pleased to announce that the Federal Communications Commission has voted to modernize their regulations on amateur radio following pressure from the Amateur Radio Communications Improvement Act that I introduced earlier this Congress. For more information, read my full press release here.

GET THE FACTS: Bidenflation

$11,434 annually is what the typical American household now has to spend to simply maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed in January 2021. Since President Biden took office, inflation has reached a 40-year high and many Americans are struggling to afford basic necessities like gas, groceries, and housing. This is especially true for middle- and low-income Americans whose income fell short by nearly $14,000 on average to keep up in 2022. The facts are simple, Bidenomics is not working and the American people are suffering.

Around the District

Team Lesko attended Santa for Soldiers hosted by Soldier's Best Friend. This organization connects veterans in our district and the rest of Arizona with service dog companions.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office because he had difficulty receiving his back payments from the Social Security Administration. Our office reached out to the Social Security Administration and was able to confirm the amount he was owed. Additionally, we were able to provide the agency with proof of his financial hardship which resulted in further payment to the constituent.
