Dear Community Member,

One of my top priorities as your federal representative is making sure that you are informed, heard, and engaged. That is why I remain committed to holding meetings and town halls across California’s 19th Congressional District to ensure that every voice is part of the conversation.

Since January 20, 2025, I have hosted seven town halls, including public discussions on immigration and open-topic forums, as well as district-wide telephone town halls while I’m in Washington, D.C. to reach constituents all across our very large and diverse district. These town halls allow us to have meaningful discussions about the issues that matter most to you, no matter where you live in the district.

There is a lot of fear and anxiety right now about what the Administration and Elon Musk mean for our community, not just in terms of the values that we share in California’s 19th Congressional District, but in the real, tangible ways that they could impact the services that we rely on. Their plans to undermine Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Services, and food assistance programs aren’t just political moves, they could threaten the way of life for working families, seniors, and the most vulnerable in our district. I want you to know that I am not getting distracted from my service to you. We are fighting to protect these essential programs and to ensure that you and your family get the support and services that you deserve.

Last Congress, I held 35 town halls, 42 open office sessions, and attended over 1,000 meetings and events across the many communities of California’s 19th Congressional District. I also responded to more than 300,000 constituent inquiries because every message you send helps guide my work in Congress.

There is unprecedented interest from our community about the work ahead to push back against this Administration and Elon Musk. That is why I will continue to meet that demand with events in the many communities that make up California’s 19th Congressional District.

I encourage you to stay updated through my newsletter and social media for announcements on events in your community and opportunities to connect. As always, I am here to help, whether you need assistance with federal agencies, want to share your thoughts, or request a meeting.

I look forward to seeing you soon in our community. Thank you for staying engaged and helping shape the work that we do together to move forward.

Sincerely,
