Dear Community Member,
California’s 19th Congressional District is once again participating in the 2025 Congressional App Challenge. The deadline to submit your app is Wednesday, October 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST.
Launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, the Congressional App Challenge is a nationwide competition that inspires middle and high school students to get creative with computer science. Whether it’s for desktop, mobile, web, or another platform, students can design and code their own applications and put their skills to the test.
The winning app from our district will be displayed on the House of Representatives’ official website and may also be featured in the U.S. Capitol alongside winners from across the country.
Eligibility Highlights:
- Open to all middle and high school students who live in or attend school in California’s 19th Congressional District.
- Students may compete individually or in teams of up to four.
- Apps can be built on any topic, using any programming language or platform.
This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their creativity, strengthen their skills, and represent the Central Coast on a national stage.
Submit your app by October 30th here: Congressional App Challenge Registration
For questions, you can reach out to the App Challenge team at StudentSupport@CongressionalAppChallenge.us or call my District Office at 831-424-2229.
I look forward to seeing the talent and innovation from our students this year.
Sincerely,

Jimmy Panetta United States Representative 19th Congressional District, California
