A MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSWOMAN KAMLAGER-DOVE:
Dear Friend,
Welcome to my newsletter! I am honored to serve as your Representative in Congress for California’s 37th District. In my first 100 days, I’ve worked hard to serve Angelenos in the 118th Congress. Through these weekly emails, I aim to update you on what is happening in Washington, D.C., offer you with information and resources, flag upcoming events, and provide you with a recap of our work in the District.
I was appointed to serve on the House Natural Resources Committee as Vice Ranking Member as well as on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. I have also joined important Caucus groups like the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the Pro-Choice Caucus, the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition, and the Democratic Women’s Caucus, where I serve as a Whip and Co-Chair of the Outreach Task Force. In addition, I am proud to be the Vice Chair of the newly formed Equal Rights Amendment Caucus.
Here are some photos to recap my first 100 days!

(1) My ceremonial swearing-in on Rosa Parks' Bible. (2) Signing the first bill I introduced. (3) Speaking at a press conference to introduce the A. Donald McEachin Environmental Justice for All Act. (4) My community swearing-in and inaugural address.

(5) One of my first Foreign Affairs Committee hearings as a Member. (6) A trip to the United Nations Headquarters to discuss global issues. (7) Hosting the Congressional Black Caucus Institute at the Beehive in Los Angeles. (8) Giving remarks at the introduction of the new Equal Rights Amendment Caucus.
As you can see, we hit the ground running to serve the people of Los Angeles. During the first 100 days as your Representative, I introduced five pieces of legislation and cosponsored 90 bills to address critical issues like climate change, foreign affairs, criminal justice reform, democracy, and reproductive rights... and I’m just getting started!
