AFFIRMATIVE ACTION FLOOR REMARKS
This week, I stood with my colleagues from the Congressional Black Caucus during a Special Order Hour on affirmative action to voice my dissatisfaction with the recent ruling. It is a sham. I want Black students to know that I hear you, see you, and am fighting for you. I will work with my colleagues to ensure all students have equal access to education and opportunities!

EYVIN HERNANDEZ RESOLUTION
I introduced a bipartisan resolution with Representatives Castro, Barragán, and Kim advocating for the release of my constituent, Eyvin Hernandez, who was wrongfully detained in Venezuela last March. The Biden Administration must use all possible tools to secure his freedom. I will always fight to Bring Eyvin Home. Eyvin is a beloved son, brother, and friend, and every day that his family and friends spend without him brings pain to their hearts. We cannot forget about Eyvin.

INTERVIEW WITH MSNBC'S SYMONE SANDERS
Last Sunday, I spoke with MSNBC's Symone Sanders on NATO, Ukraine and cluster munitions, and the recent Supreme Court decisions and the need for Court reform. I was glad to see Sweden receive the support it needs to join NATO. The President has made restoring and strengthening our alliances in NATO a priority, which is a sea change from the past Administration.

ENGAGING WITH THE COMMUNITY IN LOS ANGELES
It was great to be in Los Angeles last week. During my time at home, I met with Dr. James Limbaugh, President of West Los Angeles College, to discuss the importance of student success and climate change education. In addition, I stopped by the People's Market at SuperChief Gallery LA to discuss the importance of local business and art in the District and how I can help support those efforts on the Federal level with funding and other initiatives. Looking forward to more time in the District soon!
