Join My In-Person
Health Care Town Hall

A MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSWOMAN KAMLAGER-DOVE:

Dear Friend,

It has been a busy week here in Los Angeles. I have visited with staff from Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, South Central Family Health Clinic, and the Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters to tour their facilities and talk about how I can help them accomplish their goals through my role in Congress. In addition, I celebrated the 4th annual Leimert Park Jazz Festival, Fiesta La Ballona, and Young Parents Day. I also spoke with Alex Witt on MSNBC's 'Alex Witt Reports' about the tragic Jacksonville shooting and violence against the Black community at large.

Are you concerned about the high cost of health care? Join me at my Town Hall next week on Wednesday, September 6 at 6 p.m. PT to discuss how wins from the American Rescue Plan, Inflation Reduction Act, and other legislation are helping lower costs and expand health care coverage for American families.

JOIN MY UPCOMING HEALTH CARE TOWN HALL

While House Republicans continue to attempt to weaken or overturn the Affordable Care Act, threatening health care access for millions, House Democrats want to strengthen health care access and health equity for all. As I prepare to head back to Washington next month, I want to hear from you! I know that the high cost of health care is a concern for millions of Americans across the country. That is why on September 6th, I hope you will join me for my in-person Health Care Town Hall to discuss how Democrats in Congress are working to protect reproductive rights and health care access through legislation like the American Rescue Plan, the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the Women's Health Protection Act.

MSNBC'S ALEX WITT REPORTS WITH ALEX WITT

Last weekend, I spoke to Alex Witt about the Jacksonville shooting that claimed the lives of three Black Americans and the rising incidents of violence against the Black community. We must stand against extremists who are actively working to erase Black history and incite violence. This tragedy in Florida is a crystal clear example of how Governor DeSantis' extremist anti-Black rhetoric has stoked culture wars and created an environment where hatred and bigotry thrives. I will continue to work with House Democrats and my Congressional Black Caucus colleagues to address the needs of Black Americans and push back against the dangers of racism and extremism.

EVENTS AROUND CA-37

This past week, I enjoyed celebrating Young Parents Day, La Fiesta Ballona, and the Leimert Park Jazz Festival around CA-37. These events are always a great opportunity to meet with community members and celebrate the vibrancy of Los Angeles and Culver City.
