A MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSWOMAN KAMLAGER-DOVE:
Dear Friend,
Thank you to everyone who came out to my Health Care Town Hall Wednesday night. It was a great success! We discussed the Democrat-led initiatives in the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act that are working to lower health care costs for millions of Americans while expanding access to insurance coverage and promoting further affordability, accessibility, and equity efforts. I look forward to future town halls with all of you!
This week, I also sat down for an interview with Dominique DiPrima on KBLA 1580 AM to discuss the town hall, preventing a government shutdown, and the important work awaiting me in Washington later this month.
HEALTH CARE TOWN HALL
It was great to see everyone at the town hall Wednesday night. I want to extend a special thank you to the panelists who lent their time and expertise to help answer your questions. During the town hall, we discussed the importance of health care for Angelenos. My town hall was focused on affordability, accessibility, equity, and how measures from legislation like the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act are delivering for Californians. These laws are helping cap insulin costs and expand the Affordable Care Act while allowing Medicare to negotiate drug costs for the first time in history. Health care is so important, especially when House Republicans are dead-set on sabotaging critical federal programs that allow access to quality health care. I was glad to see so many of you at my town hall and will continue advocating on your behalf in Congress when I return next week.
