A MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSWOMAN KAMLAGER-DOVE:
Dear Friend,
Today, we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As the moral and spiritual North Star of the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. King called on each of us to help move our country forward.
His adage, “the time is always right to do what is right,” is especially fitting today as a call to action. With our community still reeling from the fires, I encourage you to join me in celebrating Dr. King by engaging in service to help ensure an equitable recovery.

Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove serves food to those in need in Altadena.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve toured the destruction in Altadena, Pasadena, and the Palisades, where entire communities have been reduced to ash and rubble. The pain of this tragedy resonates deeply with me—just as it does with you and so many others across our state.
That’s why I attended the inauguration of Donald Trump today—to serve as a stark reminder of the human impact of delayed disaster relief for California. Trump’s second term will define his legacy, and history will ultimately remember him by the leadership—or lack thereof—that he demonstrates in helping California respond, recover, and rebuild from these fires.
I know many are uncertain what the next four years will bring, but know this: no matter who is president, I am committed to securing a better future for all. As we remember Dr. King today, let us also remember his eternal wisdom: “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” Together, we can build the future Dr. King dreamed of—one grounded in social justice, equity, and compassion for each other.
As always, I encourage you to contact my offices with any comments or concerns about my work in Congress, the 37th District, or any other matters. Please connect with me on Facebook, , and Instagram to stay up to date on my work in Congress. If you are experiencing issues with Social Security, passports, immigration, or another Federal agency, send in a casework request, and my staff will be happy to assist you.
Sincerely,
