A MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSWOMAN KAMLAGER-DOVE:
Dear Friend,
I know many of us are feeling so many emotions, from outrage to anguish. My office has received hundreds of calls about Elon Musk’s hostile government takeover and gutting of federal agencies—just the latest examples of the Trump Administration’s endless barrage of illegal actions.
I refuse to stand idly by while billionaires rewrite the rules for themselves while working families continue to struggle. Stopping Elon and Trump’s authoritarian government for the rich is an urgent priority right now. Here’s how I’m fighting to protect the security of our public institutions:
1. Yesterday, I joined a protest at the Treasury Department, where Elon and his grossly unqualified cronies have unlawfully gained access to people’s personal information. Treasury’s payment system processes nearly $6 trillion in payments per year—including Social Security and Medicare. I will not allow an unelected billionaire to access the taxpayers’ dollars or data, which is why I’m supporting legislation to stop these illegal actions.
2. As a member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, I will conduct oversight on these unconstitutional actions and hold the Trump Administration accountable for any failure to comply with governmental ethics laws.
3. I will continue being vocal on social media, in the news, and through direct communication with you. For the latest updates on my work, please follow me on social media: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Bluesky, Twitter, and Threads.
I want to hear from you. Your voice is important in ensuring that our government remains accountable to the people—not just to the wealthy elite. Please take a moment to complete our survey and share your thoughts on this critical issue:
As always, I encourage you to contact my offices with any comments or concerns about my work in Congress, the 37th District, or any other matters. If you are experiencing issues with Social Security, passports, immigration, or another Federal agency, send in a casework request, and my staff will be happy to assist you.
Sincerely,
 |
