A MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSWOMAN KAMLAGER-DOVE:
Dear Friend,
I just left the House Floor after voting against House Republicans' partisan government funding bill. Over the past few weeks, I've spoken with many of you and heard you clearly: You do not want Elon Musk and Donald Trump gutting the critical services you and your loved ones depend on.
That’s why I voted against this sham of a funding bill, which included no safeguards to prevent Don and Elon’s hostile government takeover. Why would I sign a blank check for programs that DOGE has already promised to dismantle?
Any lawmaker who claims this is a "clean" government funding bill is lying. A funding bill cannot be clean if it leads to 32,000 people being evicted from their homes, 25,000 seniors going hungry, and countless veterans losing access to healthcare. Full stop.
I will not be bullied into supporting this administration's efforts to steal from my constituents to pay for future tax cuts for billionaires like Elon. This bill is now headed to the Senate, and every Senator must prioritize the needs of the American people by blocking this legislation and forcing Republicans back to the negotiating table.
