This week I helped escort South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol into the House Chamber for the joint meeting of Congress.

The US-ROK alliance has become a vital economic and security partnership based on our shared values of freedom, human rights and democracy.

This week, the House Financial Services Committee passed the Improving Access to Small Business Information Act, a bipartisan bill that will reduce red tape and streamline the SEC’s Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation process to gather timely information. 

The better information that the Office can gather, the better Congress and the public can identify policy gaps and facilitate small business capital formation.

So fun to catch up with Orange County students from St. Angela Merici Parish School and Newport Christian School during their visits to Washington, DC!

The border crisis continues to directly impact my constituents. This week the House Foreign Affairs Committee passed the ORDER Act to counter the Biden administration’s policy missteps that have led to more illegal crossings.

I will keep working on border security solutions.

This week, I introduced a bipartisan bill to fix a flaw in the U.S. tax code that unfairly penalizes American taxpayers waiting on delayed tax refunds.

I will keep fighting for commonsense policies that allow families and individuals to keep more of their hard-earned money in their pockets.

Great to see the Orange County Board of Education Trustee Dr. Lisa Sparks and team in my DC office!

Access to a quality of education can change the course of one’s life. I saw this firsthand, which is why I am always a loud voice for opportunities for students to achieve their dream.

Why does the US-ROK alliance matter? Take a look at South Korea at night, vs. North Korea. South Korea is a friend in freedom, democracy, and human rights.

This week, I introduced a bipartisan resolution reaffirming the United States support for South Korea as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the US-ROK alliance and Republic of Korea president Yoon Suk-Yeol visits Washington. 

This week, I introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate the month of April as “Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month” and recognize the importance of STEM education.

I am proud to lead the bipartisan effort to recognize the importance of math and encourage Americans that we need to further invest in STEM educational opportunities.

Team Young joined the 2023 William G. Steiner Memorial Police and Fire Awards Luncheon hosted by Orange Rotary to honor Orange City Fire and Orange Police Department awardees from 2021 and 2022.

We are blessed to have these first responders protecting and serving our Orange community!

Bad actors should not be able to report inaccurate or false information to our government while operating in our markets.

As a member of the Financial Services Committee, I will hold the Biden administration accountable and ensure regulators are doing their jobs.

Incentivizing safe storage of guns protects law abiding citizens’ safe use of guns while reducing chance of gun violence, suicide, or accidental shootings.

Glad to join Reps. Mike Levin, Mike Lawler and Brendan Boyle to lead the Prevent Family Fire Act.

Jeanne Carter leaves a long legacy of teaching, mentoring and guiding our youth in Orange Unified School District and El Modena High School in Orange.

I joined Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer to introduce a bill that gives the President the tools to finally say the time is up on TikTok’s national security threats without giving him new executive authorities or powers.

This week, I introduced the Fostering Innovation in Global Development Act, a bipartisan bill that would improve the U.S. approach to foreign aid by authorizing $45 million annually for USAID to identify and scale effective methods of foreign aid delivery, including those originating in the private sector.

I will keep working to ensure the U.S. maintains its leadership on the world stage.

I’m proud to join the Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation Caucus co-chair Rep. Joyce Beatty to recognize April as Financial Literacy Month and to work to protect the American dream.

Team Young joined our Orange County community to remember victims of crime and rally with their families and loved ones.
