American leadership is at risk as we face increasing threats abroad and growing military recruitment and readiness issues at home. Today, I voted for a bipartisan NDAA to equip our Department of Defense (DoD) with the resources they need to keep our nation safe and support our men and women in uniform.

The bipartisan NDAA prioritizes U.S. strength against the CCP and other adversaries, supports our brave troops and their families, and boosts DoD oversight.

This week, the House passed the Improving Access to Small Business Information Act so the SEC's Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation works as intended and supports entrepreneurs.

I'll keep fighting for our small businesses who create so many jobs in our communities and boost our local economies.

Tomorrow at 5pm in Tustin, I’m hosting a Veterans Benefits Information Seminar and Vietnam Veterans and Spouses Pinning Ceremony. As a wife and sister of veterans, supporting veterans is personal to me. I hope to see you there!

Coach Al Matta adopted the Ridgeview Loop Trail in 2005 and began putting up hundreds of American flags along this 500-ft walk to show his patriotism and bring our Chino Hills community together. I was honored to catch up with him and his wife and thank them for their dedication.

Wonderful Sunday in Silverado Canyon! I attended 11am mass at St. Michael's Abbey, grabbed lunch at Silverado Cafe, and caught up with folks at Cook's Corner feat. live music from the Eric Turner Band. I’m proud to represent the beautiful canyon communities in CA-40!

I met with members of Eyvin Hernandez's family last week and stand with them in their fight to Bring Eyvin Home. I join them in urging The Biden administration and State Department to secure his release and introduced a bipartisan resolution this week to demand exactly that.

As we mark 70 years of the U.S.-ROK alliance, I enjoyed discussing the future of the importance of U.S. policy in the Indo-Pacific with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the USA - Ambassador Hyundong Cho and Senator Bill Hagerty at The Heritage Foundation.

Thank you for having me, AltaMed Health Services! As the co-chair of the Maternity Care Caucus, I’ve been focused on solving the nurse shortage in our community. The work that you all do to help underserved communities is essential to the health and livelihood of our entire CA-40 community.

Access to safe contraception can be essential for women’s health and wellness. As the FDA approves an OTC birth control pill, I introduced the OTC Act with Rep. Miller-Meeks to clarify guidelines so we can expand access to OTC oral contraceptives and lower costs.

Thank you to the Serrano Water District board and staff for the tour of Irvine Lake and the Santiago Dam in Silverado! We discussed the need for maintenance and improvements to our water storage facilities. I look forward to working together to improve water storage in CA-40.

Congratulations to Bennie Zhu from Yorba Linda, Charu Tripathi from Lake Forest, and Anika Nunes and Natalie Labatia from Tustin, for earning The Congressional Award medals! Your devotion to serving your peers and our CA-40 communities is inspiring. Great work, and I know your futures are bright!

At this week's House Foreign Affairs Committee Indo-Pacific Subcommittee hearing, we discussed U.S. foreign policy priorities in South and Central Asia and combatting CCP aggression. I will keep fighting to counter growing CCP influence and work to ensure the U.S. leads through strength.

As an immigrant from South Korea with family members who fled North Korea, supporting the North Korean people is personal to me. I joined the Korean Church Coalition for North Korea Freedom as they highlight the Kim regime's human rights atrocities and fight for freedom for the North Korean people.

Team Young joined Orange Senior Housing and the City of Orange for the groundbreaking of Katella Terrace in Orange, which will provide 74 senior housing units on Katella Avenue near the 55 Freeway. I appreciate their work to provide affordable housing for those on fixed income.

CA-40 is a great place to build your business! Team Young helped celebrate the grand openings of Dish and That in Yorba Linda, and Euro Caffe and TruBlu Organic Coffee in Orange. Thank you for all that you do to create jobs and meaningful opportunities in our communities. I’ll always be a loud voice for our small businesses in Congress!

I enjoyed meeting with the Taiwan USA Caucus to discuss strengthening ties between the United States and Taiwan. I will always support our allies and focus on policies to bolster U.S relations and deter Chinese aggression. 

I’m thrilled that this week the House passed H.R. 1548, my bipartisan bill to cut red tape and support our small business owners that keep our communities running. Thank you to House Majority Whip Tom Emmer for the puck and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise for the cookie cake! Such fun ways to celebrate this big win for small businesses.

Team Young joined the City of Orange to recognize the Hight Family, who have been leaders in the Orange community for over 120 years. I thank them for their service and commitment to our CA-40 community!

The people of Sudan continue to show their support for a civilian-led democratic government.

I introduced a resolution to show bipartisan support for an overdue ceasefire and peaceful transition of power.

Team Young joined the Quad Chamber Economic Forecasting event at the Nixon Library this week to honor local business leaders across Yorba Linda, Brea, Chino Hills, and Corona. Congratulations to all of the honorees and the Wooden Award winners Purple Notary Signings owner Jamie Lynne Hunt Parent, Ultimate Sources and All-Marketing owner Jeff Vaka, Express Employment Professionals, owner Palbinder Badesha, and Arbor Financial owner Jim Zures. Businesses like yours are the backbone of our nation.
