My thanks to all who joined our veterans’ event in Tustin and VA Long Beach for joining us! I loved meeting with CA-40 veterans and recognizing nearly 30 Vietnam era veterans and spouses for their service and sacrifice.

You all are heroes. I'll always have the backs of our veterans who had ours.

Great way to kick off the week! I caught up with Greater Los Angeles Area Council Scout Troop from Southern California about supporting educational opportunities for students.

I never would have thought at their age that I'd one day be in Congress. I know these students can do ANYTHING they set their minds to!

This week, I held an Indo-Pacific Subcommittee Hearing on achieving peace through strength featuring Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Kritenbrink. We are not competing with the People’s Republic of China from a position of strength, and unfortunately, the State Department has prioritized engagements with Beijing instead of with Congress. I will keep holding the Biden administration accountable to be transparent and honest with the American people.

Many animal shelters face food and supply shortages while over a million pounds of useable pet supplies are wasted each year. This week, I introduced the BARK Act to will help reduce this waste, supply shelters in need, and feed animals. I am happy to lead this commonsense bipartisan effort to support shelters and reduce waste in landfills.

Honored to host a panel with amazing women leaders blazing trails across STEM industries and paving the way for the next generation of women in STEM! As Women in STEM Caucus Co-Chair, I'm fighting for educational opportunities for all students.

Mom and grandma are the best titles I will ever have. Seeing my daughters have kids of their own has made supporting moms and expecting moms even more important for me in Congress. I introduced a bipartisan resolution this week in honor of National Bump Day, to celebrate moms, expecting moms, and babies across the nation and raise awareness of the preventable maternal mortality crisis in our communities. Pregnancy is a beautiful part of life, and I will keep working as Maternity Care Caucus co-chair to uplift all moms and women and provide them with the best care possible.

Eyvin Hernandez has been wrongfully detained by the Venezuelan regime for over a year. It’s past time to Bring Eyvin Home.

I joined his family to call on the Biden administration to demand his immediate release.

This week I voted to support our U.S.-Israel alliance, stand with our Jewish community, and reject all forms of antisemitism and xenophobia.

The Mercury 13's important work paved the way for future generations of women in STEM. I introduced a bipartisan resolution to honor these women with a Congressional Gold Medal
As Women in STEM Caucus Co-Chair, I’m proud to honor these women and show girls that the sky isn’t even the limit to what they can accomplish.

Great to hear from educators from around the country at the Jumpstart Coalition’s JumpStart Coalition Financial Literacy Day. Taking care of one’s finances is vital for taking control of one’s future. As Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation Caucus co-chair, I'm working to help students succeed.

Honored to join What To Expect founder Heidi Murkoff and fellow Maternity Care Caucus co-chair Robin Kelly for a bipartisan discussion on improving maternal mental health care. This is personal to me as a mother and grandmother, and I will keep fighting for solutions.

The consequences of the Russian invasion into Ukraine have been felt globally. African countries in particular have been effected by the disruptions to the global food supply chains as a result of the invasion. I questioned witnesses at this week’s Africa Subcommittee hearing on how we can mitigate these issues and secure our global food supply chain.

At this week’s Financial Institutions Subcommittee hearing, I asked about how we can work to address wildfires and climate change without raising regulatory costs on Americans firms and hurting small businesses with burdensome disclosure requirements.

I caught up with Aerojet Rocketdyne engineer Mary Kalayjian in town from Southern California about her inspiring work as an aerospace engineer. I'm working on policies as Women in STEM Caucus Co-Chair to uplift women like Mary and help students gain skills needed to tackle our nation's challenges.

Team Young joined Moulton Niguel Water District at their annual Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon to bring our community together and address water service public safety needs. Thank you to all our public safety personnel for your commitment to keeping CA-40 safe!

Thank you to Common Ground Committee for stopping by! I believe in the importance of a productive dialogue and am willing to find common ground to move our country forward and improve the lives of workers, families, and small businesses I represent. I'm glad my record reflects this.

At this week’s Financial Services National Security Subcommittee hearing, I asked if we are able to delay a rule at FinCEN, the U.S. Financial Intelligence Unit, to give small business owners more time to learn about the law and get ready to comply.

For the United States to continue to be a global leader, we need to show our allies we can deliver on our nation’s word. I introduced the KOALA Act to help cut through the red tape that is slowing down efforts to support Australia and implement AUKUS. This is more important than ever as the Chinese Communist Party increases aggression.

The Chinese Communist Party should not write the rules of the road for global networks. I introduced the Securing Global Telecommunications Act to take steps to secure our networks and ensure the United States leads in global telecommunications standards.
