Glad to be back working for the American People!
At this week's Financial Services National Security Subcommittee hearing, I asked witnesses on how Congress can work to hold the Iranian regime accountable, enforce sanctions, and prohibit them from financing terror. I'm fighting to keep Iran from funding terrorism.
Team Young was honored to present Harold Gomer from Orange with a flag flown over the Capitol for his 100th birthday! Harold is a Navy Veteran who served in WWII. Congrats on this milestone and thank you for your service to our nation and community!
Gov. Newsom cannot sidestep human rights abuses in Xinjiang and the fentanyl crisis impacting Californians in his talks with CCP officials. That’s why I led a letter with my California Republican colleagues urging him to cancel his trip.
He should have stayed home and worked to fix the issues impacting Californians instead of appeasing the CCP.
I enjoyed meeting with constituents from Yorba Linda in my D.C. office. It was great to hear about their business and to discuss how I can best serve them in Congress. Thanks for stopping by!
This week, the House came together to stand with our ally Israel as it defends itself against Hamas and other terrorists, and against the rogue Iranian regime backing these unprovoked terrorist attacks to try to wipe Israel off the map.
This week, I joined my colleagues to introduce the Supporting Patient Education and Knowledge (SPEAK) Act to reduce language barriers to health access.
Language barriers should not keep Americans from accessing health care. As someone whose second language is English and the representative of a diverse district with Americans of different backgrounds, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to express health care needs and know what resources are available. The SPEAK Act will help us reduce barriers to health care while taking advantage of innovative health technologies.
Team Young celebrated the opening of Force3 Fitness in Orange. Founder and head coach Schad Gibbons has been a leader in our community and strives to lead through example through: Exercise, Nutrition, and Mindset. We look forward to seeing your success!
Gavin Newsom takes portraits in front of the Great Wall of China while refusing to press the Chinese Communist Party for gross human rights abuses and profiting from the fentanyl crisis taking American lives.
I caught up with AM 870 about his vanity trip and more.
U.S. strategic investment in critical technologies is vital for our economy and national security. I was proud to support the CHIPS and Science Act and am even more thrilled that this innovation is happening right here in our SoCal backyard at UC Riverside.
This week, Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party Chairman Mike Gallagher and I sent a letter to Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro calling on the Navy to speed up the production and sale of weapons Taiwan needs to defend itself in the instance of a Chinese Communist Party invasion, like Harpoon and SLAM-ER missiles.
Last Congress, I led the Arms Exports Delivery Solutions Act, which became law, to track the delivery of backlogged arms sales to Taiwan and other Indo-Pacific partners. We must deliver and keep our word to our allies and partners as we see adversaries increase aggression in the region.
This week during Fight Retail Crime Day, we are reminded that every day our SoCal communities are hurt by organized retail crime.
I am leading a bipartisan bill to help address organized retail crime and committed to protecting public safety and supporting small businesses.
Congrats to Mathnasium on your second location in Lake Forest! Thank you for your commitment to helping CA-40 students develop STEM skills that can lead to good-paying jobs and opportunities to solve our nation’s challenges.
This week, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul and I condemned the Chinese Coast Guard’s unlawful actions in the South China Sea and to unequivocally support the Philippines.
CBP reports 269,735 migrant encounters at the Southern border in September, the highest month ever recorded.
I introduced a bipartisan bill to ensure our border patrol has the tools they need at every mile of our border. I'm fighting for solutions.
Thank you Mission Viejo High School and Orange County Sheriff's Department for hosting the 35th annual Walk Against Drugs in Mission Viejo to raise awareness and educate the public on the drug epidemic across our nation and right here in our CA-40 backyard.
Ahead of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s meeting with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Washington, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul and I called out the Chinese Communist Party for wrongfully detaining American citizens and engaging in aggressive military posturing in the South China Sea.
Iran’s malign influence campaign and support for terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad contributes to its goal of wiping out Israel.
My Foreign Affairs Committee colleagues came together to say a nuclear Iran is unacceptable.
Team Young joined the Islamic Center of Yorba Linda’s “Open Mosque Day” to learn more about their faith with our Yorba Linda community. ICYL has grown to nearly 2,000 congregants since its first gathering in 1996 for Ramadan.
I'll always be a voice for religious freedom.
