The annual period for open enrollment on the Access Health CT exchange has begun. Through January 15th, you can shop for a new coverage plan for 2022.

Under the new Covered Connecticut program which incorporates the new federal subsidies I fought for in the American Rescue Plan, you may be eligible for a premium-free plan. Families with a household income between 160% and 175% of the federal poverty level and at least one dependent child under the age of 19 can access this new benefit. When you visit AccessHealthCT.com or visit an in-person enrollment site, you can compare plans and decide on the right plan for you and your family. You can visit AccessHealthCT.com/get-help at any time for free assistance with the enrollment process. 

• For new health insurance plans, you must complete your application to enroll by December 15th for coverage beginning January 1st, 2022. 
• If you enroll between December 16th and January 15th, available coverage plans will begin on February 1st, 2022. 

I was proud to vote for the American Rescue Plan earlier this year. This law transformed the health care landscape for Americans, providing more coverage options than ever before at an affordable price to benefit you during this year’s open enrollment period.
