Dear Friends,
Last week, we took a step forward in the fight to lower the cost of prescription drugs by passing the Affordable Insulin Now Act. This legislation would cap out-of-pocket costs for insulin at no more than $35 per month.
For years we have heard the horror stories from Americans across the country who had to make the impossible decision to cut back or skip insulin doses because of how expensive this medication is. I urge the Senate to pass this bill because no one should have to make the choice between paying their bills and buying their insulin.
I am proud Connecticut has already passed a similar law to cap insulin prices in our great state. I will keep up the fight in Washington to bring this access to all Americans and lower prescription drug prices across the board.
