Dear Friends –
Last year we passed the American Rescue Plan in Congress, offering significant relief to Americans as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. As a part of this package, we brought $345 million back to Connecticut for rental assistance and mortgage relief.
This week, Governor Lamont announced the launch of MyHomeCT, a new program funded by the American Rescue Plan to provide mortgage relief for homeowners who have faced financial hardship due to COVID-19.
Assistance is available for missed mortgage payments, future payments, and other housing costs, including real estate taxes, homeowners’ insurance, and tax liens. Each homeowner can apply for up to $30,000 in assistance.
At chfa.org/MyHomeCT, residents can apply online or find the nearest MyHomeCT Resource Center to speak with someone in-person.
