Dear Friends,
Today, I voted for this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to support the thousands of workers, jobs, and small businesses in Connecticut’s First District that power America’s defense. From our servicemembers to the manufacturers and researchers right here at home, this legislation will bolster our local economy and national security.
Rep. Larson in Windsor at TLD America, a local F-35 supplier
- The bill will improve the quality of life for servicemembers and their families by providing a pay increase as well as establishing a program to train behavioral health providers so we can meet the unique challenges of servicemembers and their families.
- This year’s NDAA will continue to keep thousands of union jobs in our District building the F135 engine. We have the best machinists and engineers who work every day to build the safest and most capable fighter engine ever produced.
- As we continue the fight to protect reproductive rights in our country, this year’s NDAA will eliminate contraception co-pays at the Veteran’s Administration, ensuring veterans do not face unnecessary barriers to access.
I will continue the fight in Congress to bring federal dollars back to our district to support our local industries. To follow what I’m working on both in Washington and in Connecticut, visit my Facebook page, follow me on Twitter, or follow me on Instagram.
Regards,
John B. Larson
