The Border Crisis Continues To Take Its Toll

Dear Neighbor,

The Biden Border Crisis has escalated to new, historic levels in recent weeks, with fentanyl seizures increasing by over 200 percent during the one-month period from June to July. As a result, overdose has now become the leading cause of death in young adults. I hosted a press conference with NBPC President Brandon Judd and local sheriffs this past Saturday to address this ongoing crisis.

What's happening at the border is the direct result of Biden's open-border policies. From his first day in office, his administration put America last by hanging a 'welcome' sign on our country's front door, allowing migrants and criminals from around the world into the U.S. with no way to hold them accountable. We've got to secure our border, and Republicans have a plan come January to do just that.

With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on TwitterFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

Fentanyl Overdose Becomes Number-One Cause Of Death Among Young Adults

Image

Fentanyl is now the number-one killer of those between the ages of 18-45. Often laced with other drugs and disguised, many are unaware that they are ingesting this lethal opioid, and as a result, fentanyl overdose has now become an epidemic. This is the direct result of the Biden Border Crisis, and this administration must be held responsible for the harm it has caused.

Fauci's Botched COVID-19 Response

Image

On Wednesday, I joined The Faulkner Focus to discuss Dr. Fauci's botched COVID-19 response. Fauci’s lockdown policies were a failed experiment and had little to no scientific backing. Florida was free and open for business throughout the entire COVID-19 pandemic thanks to Governor DeSantis’s leadership, and our state’s economy has been thriving ever since.

Meanwhile, liberal states like New York and California that had lengthy lockdowns and prolonged mask mandates are still seeing the repercussions of those poor decisions today. Democrats overplayed their hand here and Americans are fed up with their lunacy.

Yesterday marked 106 years since the National Park Service was first founded in 1916! Responsible for managing all our national parks, monuments, and other historical and recreational properties, this agency does incredible work to preserve the ecological and historical integrity of our nation’s natural wonders, including 11 of Florida’s national parks.

The Real Impact Of The Inflation 'Reduction' Act On Americans

Image

Despite Democrats' attempts to paint the Inflation "Reduction" Act as the solution to everyone’s problems, a recent survey revealed that nearly three-quarters of all Americans say the bill will either hurt them financially, or it will not help improve their situation at all.

Who could have predicted that spending another $369 billion dollars and taxing middle-income Americans during a recession would make things worse? This bill was an insult to folks everywhere who are struggling to make ends meet, and it's all because of Bidenflation.

Joining Sean & Rachel Campos-Duffy's Podcast To Discuss The Ongoing Border Crisis

Image

This week, I joined Rachel Campos-Duffy and her husband Sean for a special edition of their "From The Kitchen Table" podcast to discuss the Biden Border Crisis and why Democrats' policies are cruelly putting Americans last. Right now, the Biden Administration uses government funding and taxpayer dollars to transport immigrants across the United States.

This is the epitome of what it means to put America last, and until Republicans take back the house, Democrats will continue to push forth their radical policies.

Remembering Fallen Officers Who Served In Afghanistan

Image

Please join me in remembering the 13 servicemembers who lost their lives one year ago today in Afghanistan. As we honor these heroes who gave their lives and took incredible risks to carry out a near-impossible task handed to them by this administration, we pray for their Gold Star families who deserve answers.

We will continue to press for accountability and responsibility about the fatal mistakes that led to their deaths. May God bless these heroes and their families.

Americans For Prosperity #TrueCost Tour Lowers Gas Prices For Ocala Residents

Image

On Saturday, I hosted a meeting with NBPC President Brandon Judd and Bradford County Sheriff Gordon Smith.

We need a secure border, and we need it now. This has escalated into far more than just a swarm of migrants at the border—this is a drug crisis, a human trafficking crisis, and a national security crisis. Everything we’re seeing taking place is the direct result of this administration’s careless and reckless policies, and we need solutions now more than ever so we can re-secure our borders.

Florida Lineworker Appreciation Day Celebration In Ocala

Image

Members of Team Kat attended the Florida Lineworker Appreciation Day celebration in Ocala this past week. Thanks to all of our linemen and women who brave harsh conditions and weather to power our homes, schools, hospitals, and beyond. This job is a dangerous one and often thankless, but we appreciate every individual who makes our lives in Florida great!

Next time you see folks restoring power in your neighborhood or conducting maintenance on the lines, please thank them for all they do.

The last two years have realigned priorities for many of us. When we could no longer depend on items and activities we used to take for granted, we were forced to narrow our focus to what's most important.
