Remembering Queen Elizabeth II & The Lives Tragically Lost On September 11th
Dear Neighbor,
This week, the world lost a tremendous leader with the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. One of the most prominent trailblazers of our time, she reigned gracefully for over 70 years during her time on the throne and served as a great ally to the United States. I hope you'll join me in praying for the people of the United Kingdom and the Royal Family amid this tremendous loss.
Furthermore, with the 21st anniversary of 9/11 approaching this weekend, Americans everywhere will mourn and remember the lives of those we lost. As we extend our thoughts and prayers to the families affected by this tragedy, may we never forget lives of those lost, as well as the great sacrifices our firefighters and first responders made in service of saving others.
With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
In Liberty,
Congresswoman Kat Cammack Proudly Serving Florida's Third Congressional District |

Honoring The Life Of Queen Elizabeth II

Yesterday's news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing is heartbreaking, as she was a steadfast and tremendous leader for the United Kingdom and the western world for over 70 years during her time on the throne. As a great ally to the United States, she stood with us and supported our shared values, especially following the September 11 attacks and in the months and years that followed.
We send our thoughts and prayers to the Royal Family and the people of the UK amid this massive loss for the world. May she rest in peace. |

Addressing Rising Crime Over Labor Day Weekend

Over the past Labor Day weekend, there were 15 shootings across the country, killing 18 people and injuring 58. From the streets of Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, and more, crime is running rampant across the United States.
When will the Biden administration admit that enough is enough and crack down on the rise in violent crime? |

Pushing Back Against China's Forced Labor Practices On The Uyghur People

This week, I joined Congressman Jim Banks, Congressman Mike Waltz, and Congressman Mike Gallagher on a letter to CBP and OFAC about their failure to implement the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which bans the import of goods made with Uyghur slave labor. Supermarkets here in the U.S. are selling products made with slave labor, including online on Amazon.
The human rights abuses against the Uyghurs in China are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to China, and we have to make sure to call attention to these egregious violations. |

Protecting Florida's Growers Against Mexico's Unfair Trade Practices

This week, I joined my colleagues from the Florida congressional delegation in petitioning U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai to initiate an investigation into vegetable imports from Mexico, and to secure trade relief for Florida growers. Mexico’s export targeting scheme is a direct threat to the U.S. agricultural supply, as it is currently impacting American-grown produce during the winter and spring months.
As the only Florida Republican on the House Agriculture Committee, I'm proud to defend our local farmers and growers against unfair trade practices. |

Urging The Biden Administration To Deny Iranian President Entrance Into The U.S.

The 77th General Assembly of the United Nations is coming up in just a few days, and leaders from around the world will visit the U.S. to engage in foreign policy discussion and debate. As such, President Biden must take swift action to deny Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi entry into our country. His regime supports terrorism abroad and continually attempts to kill American citizens and Iranian political dissidents on U.S. soil.
With the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaching, this is a matter of national security that hits home for many Americans. I'm proud to join both my Democratic and Republican colleagues in sending a letter to the Biden administration urging him to carefully consider this matter. |

Commemorating 21 Years Since The September 11th Attacks

This coming Sunday marks 21 years since September 11, 2001. As we mark this solemn anniversary of the most horrific and fatal attack on U.S. soil, may we take a moment to remember the lives of those we lost and their families who continue to honor their legacies and memories. We also honor the firefighters and first responders who rushed into harm's way to save countless lives at Ground Zero.
May God bless their memories. |

Recognizing The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System For Customer Experience Award

We’re proud to announce that the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (NF/SGVHS) was recognized with the National Customer Experience Award by the Secretary of the VA! Because of the positive feedback these care centers received from our veterans, Lake City and Malcom Randall now rank 1st and 10th, respectively, in the nation out of 141 VA medical centers nationwide.
Please join me in thanking all of our VA healthcare providers who give our veterans the best care possible. Without their hard work, this achievement would not be possible. |
