Hurricane Ian Sweeps Through Southwest Florida, Leaving Millions In Devastation
Dear Neighbor,
Hurricane Ian devastated Florida's Gulf Coast this week, leaving millions without power, homes destroyed, and communities in chaos. As our first responders and emergency management teams work through the damage, we are working hard to make sure folks have the latest information and resources in our area. Please join me in praying for the lives lost in the storm, and for those who are suffering from Ian's devastating impacts.
To learn more about how you can help in your local community, as well as impacted communities around the state, visit the Hurricane Preparedness tab on our website for information from FEMA about volunteer efforts. Now, more than ever, Floridians must stand by each other and help those in need.
With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
In Liberty,
Congresswoman Kat Cammack Proudly Serving Florida's Third Congressional District |

Florida Delegation Requests Major Disaster Declaration From Biden Following Hurricane Ian

The entire Florida delegation is in full support of the major disaster declaration for Florida. All 27 members of Congress joined Senators Scott and Rubio in supporting Governor DeSantis' request, which was approved at the federal level earlier this week.
While the hurricane will continue to impact the state for some time, and the full extent of damage will not be known for a few more days, we are working hard to make sure Floridians have all resources available to them as we rebuild stronger than ever. |

Praying For First Responders As Emergency Management Prepares For Ian Aftermath

Please join me in keeping our brave first responders, Florida National Guardsmen, linemen, emergency management personnel, and essential employees in your thoughts as we weather the storm together.
Let's take care of each other as we work through the aftermath. |

On Wednesday morning, just hours before Hurricane Ian made landfall on Florida's coast, I visited FEMA headquarters to ensure that every last need for Florida had been met at the federal level. As the lead Republican on the Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery Subcommittee in Congress, I’m doing everything I can to make sure Southwest Florida has every resource at their disposal. |

Rebuilding Florida Following Hurricane Ian

The storm surge has devastated our state, leaving 2.6 million Floridians without power. Despite Biden's attacks our domestic energy production, we need to focus on recovery at a time when it's needed most. Floridians are hurting now more than ever, and I'm working with my colleagues to bring swift relief. |
