Dear Neighbor,
With the school year now underway across the district, it amazes me how fast this year is moving! We hope all of our students, teachers, and parents have had a productive first week back in the classroom and are looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead.
I've had the opportunity to visit many folks across the district over the last week, from Levy and Lafayette Counties to Suwannee, Marion, and beyond. Take a look below to learn about our time on the Withlacoochee River, on a delivery with J&J Gas Service, at an event with Advent Christian Village, and more.
This week, several young ladies from Florida's Third made us proud by winning gold at the International Baton Twirling Federation World Championships in Liverpool, England. Young women from Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Lafayette, Suwannee, and Union Counties traveled across the pond to make us proud on the world stage. We hope you'll join us in congratulating them.
As a reminder, nominations for our nation's service academies are now open. We will soon be announcing the upcoming Service Academy Day where interested students can meet with representatives from each of the academies and learn more about the application process. The military academies serve as an excellent opportunity for young men and women to serve our nation while receiving a high-quality education that will serve them well during and after their time in the Armed Forces. For more information, check out the information below or contact Dorothy by calling (352) 505-0838.
With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. |
