Week of February 26, 2024
Biden's Border Game & The White House's Crime Cover-Ups

Dear Neighbor,

This week was busy in Washington, D.C. The House voted to approve a continuing resolution that funds the government through next week and later in March. I voted against the continuing resolution because we cannot keep kicking the funding can down the road and must pass the important appropriations bills through regular order. As the deadlines approach once more later this month, we'll be sure to keep you updated on the developments and negotiations.

Meanwhile, President Biden visited Brownsville, Texas, a part of our southern border that sees dozens of illegal apprehensions compared to the thousands pouring across our borders in Del Rio, McAllen, El Paso, and Tucson. His visit was merely a publicity stunt to ensure the public he isn't asleep at the wheel. Unfortunately for the White House, the American people see through Biden's tricks. I spoke more about this border visit and the crime chaos that has ensued on the Faulkner Focus below.

On Capitol Hill, I had the privilege of meeting with my friends from the Florida Small Business Development Center, National Forest Landowners Association, and the Special Olympics! Advocating for our growing economy, agricultural producers, and important special needs community is paramount to the work I do here. Meeting with my neighbors and hearing their needs and concerns is critical.

Finally, we hosted our February telephone town hall last night. Thanks to the thousands of constituents who spent their evenings with me as I shared more about how our team continues to fight for you in Washington. If you missed this one, our March date will be announced soon, so please stay tuned for the announcement.

Next week is another week on Capitol Hill, and I look forward to keeping you updated with everything taking place next week. With committee hearings and important legislation on the House Floor, there will be no shortage of action.

With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on XFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

For the Republic,

Promoting Florida's Growing Small Businesses

Image

Representatives from the Florida Small Business Development Center visited us in D.C. recently. Florida continues to grow, experiencing an unprecedented wave of new small business formations statewide. Our pro-freedom economic policies go a long way in getting these businesses started, but it's important to keep them growing with the resources and information they need to thrive.

Thanks for visiting and representing the thousands of small businesses across Florida.

Meeting With The National Forest Landowners Association

Image

The folks from the National Forest Landowners Association recently visited our D.C. office to discuss some of their legislative priorities, including disaster recovery tools, tax policies for landowners, and several proposed regulations that would cripple business as we know it. We even had a few UF students that double as junior team members at the Forest Policy Institute join the meeting, too.

It's always a privilege to see some of our landowners in town and to thank them for their conservation and sustainability efforts in the Sunshine State.

Two Special Olympics Athletes From Florida Visit The Hill

Image

Two Special Olympics athletes from Florida's Third recently visited our office in Washington, D.C. to share the incredible work Special Olympics does on behalf of adults and youth with intellectual disabilities. Providing opportunities to over five million people worldwide, including these two wonderful ladies, Special Olympics makes sure sports are available to all at a variety of ability levels.

Thank you for stopping by to visit!

Surging Crime Rates & VP Kamala Promotes Woke Lawmakers

Image

I spoke with Elizabeth MacDonald on last night's episode of the Evening Edit. We spoke about the Biden administration's failure to create law and order in the United States. We reviewed a clip of VP Harris promoting the positions of woke lawmakers in our legal system.

These disgusting policies only create and promote more time. Click the button below to watch the interview.

Biden Pandering To Voters With Border Visit

Image

This morning I spoke with Harris Faulkner about Joe Biden's recent trip to the border. He went to Texas but dodged the action, failing to acknowledge the thousands of immigrants flooding into the United States illegally.

This publicity stunt doesn't detract from the Left's woke agenda to provide for illegals over Americans. Click the button below to watch the full interview.
