Week of March 25, 2024
Recognizing Good Friday, Easter & Vietnam War Veterans Day

Dear Neighbor,

Washington D.C. was quiet this week as members enjoyed only the third district work period of this year so far. It was great to be back home, and I hope all of our neighbors are spending quality time with their loved ones and enjoying this beautiful spring season before the weather truly heats up in earnest.

To those who celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we wish you a blessed Good Friday and Easter Sunday  this weekend. In between the chocolate bunnies and egg hunts, I hope you find comfort in Christ's love for us and the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.

Finally, today is also Vietnam War Veterans Day. I am immensely grateful to the nine million Americans that served our country from 1955 to 1975. We will never forget your service and sacrifice.

With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on XFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

For the Republic,

Good Friday

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." - John 3:16-17

On this Good Friday, we wish you a meaningful observance of one of the final days of Holy Week and the reassurance of what's to come in just three short days.

Vietnam War Veterans Day

Today, March 29, is National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

On this day in 1973, the U.S. Military Assistance Command in Vietnam was disbanded and the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam.

The nine million Americans who served during the Vietnam War era and the 58,000 names memorialized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. are true heroes.

To our Vietnam Veterans, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Happy Easter From Team Kat
