Dear Neighbor,
Happy Independence Day!
As our nation marks another birthday and another year as the greatest experiment in democracy and self-governance the world has ever seen, we're reflecting on our tremendous blessings as Americans.
Today we send our gratitude to the men and women of our Armed Forces who continue to work around the clock to keep us safe. It's because of them and all they have sacrificed to protect our nation that we're able to safely enjoy this 248th year of the United States of America. Additionally, we thank the men and women of law enforcement and our first responder agencies who are working overtime today to make sure we're able to celebrate safely.
We wish you a safe, happy Independence Day and look forward to seeing many of you along parade routes and at fireworks shows today and throughout the weekend. If you see us, be sure to wave and say hello.
