Week of August 19, 2024
August Recess Continues

Dear Neighbor,

With Congress on recess this month, I've been back home in Florida's Third and on the ground meeting with constituents. Every day is an opportunity to keep learning about the needs of our community and how I can best represent our region in Washington, D.C.

One of my favorite events was attending the UF Health Eastside Urgent Care Center Ribbon Cutting! It's always great to be a Florida Gator, but this week was extra special because I got to witness the expansion of life-saving medical facilities in Gainesville. Thank you to UF Health for providing top-tier health care to our area.

Did you know that Congress hosts the Congressional App Challenge? Students from all across the United States are encouraged to put their creativity to work by developing a phone/web application! The possibilities and ideas are endless. I strongly encourage all students with an interest in coding or design to learn more here

Finally, we hosted our Service Academy Day last night in Ocala. It was great to see students from across #FL03 interested in learning more about serving our nation. We will have more information available soon about the application process, deadlines for materials, and more. Please stay tuned or contact our Gainesville District Office at (352) 505-0838.

With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on XFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

For the Republic,

UF Health Eastside Urgent Care Center Ribbon Cutting

Image

I was excited to join the UF Health and Gainesville community for the new UF Health Eastside Urgent Care Center Ribbon Cutting. UF Health provides excellent care to patients all across North Florida and this new center will certainly be no exception. Gators are always doing big things and I'm grateful to UF Health for continuing to set the standard for great care in our state.
