Dear Neighbor,
Hurricane Milton stormed its way across Florida just as rebuilding efforts from Helene began in earnest. While our neighbors to the south saw worse effects from Milton than we did, we're proud to stand with our neighbors and provide them the same support they showed us during and after Hurricane Helene.
If you are experiencing a need for FEMA assistance or have questions about hurricane recovery resources, please know our team is standing by to help. You can contact us at kcammack.hurricane@mail.house.gov or call us at (352) 505-0838 for more information.
Earlier this week, I wrote a letter to USDA Secretary Vilsack requesting action on a number of needs for our area and our neighbors in the southeast. The letter, signed by 14 of my colleagues, asks for the use of more accurate RMA data, FSA strike teams, and more. Take a look below.
Today and Monday, we are holding mobile office hours across the district to aid in recovery efforts! We'd love to see you there or in our Gainesville or Ocala offices anytime. Read below for our hours of operation and more information on how to reach us for assistance.
Finally, due to the storms, we have extended the deadline for our service academy nominations. All materials will be due on Friday, November 1 to allow all of our interested applicants the chance to submit their applications amid postal service delays and storm cleanup efforts. With questions, please contact us in Gainesville at (352) 505-0838.
With all that's happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. |
