Dear Neighbor,
This week was a great one in Florida's Third Congressional District! After two very busy Washington weeks, it was the best feeling to be back in the Sunshine State.
On Monday we celebrated President's Day and expressed our gratitude for the leaders our nation has been fortunate to have, including President Trump who continues to set a high bar for success in his second administration. The Senate remains hard at work confirming his nominees and ensuring his cabinet picks can get to work swiftly.
We hosted the first of many live listening sessions in Baker County on Tuesday. We discussed a host of local issues and I provided updates about the latest from Washington, D.C. We will be visiting the remaining 11 counties in Florida's Third in April and look forward to seeing more neighbors at these events. Please follow our social media pages and stay tuned in this newsletter for future announcements about upcoming events.
This week I proudly shared support for several newly introduced bills in Congress. The first will eliminate the Death Tax, which unfairly punishes the owners of family-run farms and businesses. The second prevents China from purchasing American farmland. Both are very important bills for our agricultural and rural communities—take a look below to read more.
The House returns to session next week for three straight weeks in Washington. President Trump's first State of the Union address is coming up on March 4 and we'll be sharing more about what we expect President Trump to address in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned next week for another breakdown of events in Washington.
With all that's happening this new Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. |
