Week of March 24, 2025
Launching The Republican Women's Caucus At The White House

Dear Neighbor,

This week brought lots of exciting news! We officially launched the Republican Women's Caucus at the White House on Wednesday alongside President Trump. This new group, made up of female GOP members in the House and Senate, will ensure American issues are women's issues as we fight to secure the border, restore our energy dominance, and strengthen our economy during the Golden Age of America. I'm thrilled to be the founder and co-chair of the caucus alongside Senator Katie Britt in its inaugural year.

You can watch the news and video from the White House announcement below, and see a bit more of my own personal news—my husband Matt and I are expecting our first baby later this year! I was thrilled to share this news alongside dozens of my fellow female conservative lawmakers who know just how important women and girls are to the future of our nation.

Additionally, the Agriculture Committee and Energy & Commerce Committee held two important hearings this week, one on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the other on keeping children safe online. You can take a look at the recaps below to learn more about what we discussed.

The House returns next week for the second of three weeks in session. Stay tuned to see the updates in next week's newsletter.

Finally, our very own Florida Gators took down Maryland in the NCAA Round of 16 last night. The Elite Eight is up next with the Gators making their first appearance in this round of the tournament since 2017. Let's go Gators!

With all that's happening this new Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on XFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

For the Republic,

Announcing The Republican Women's Caucus

Image

On Wednesday, we were thrilled to announce the launch of the Republican Women’s Caucus! Together with my colleague Senator Katie Britt and President Trump at the White House, we made the historic announcement about the formation of the Republican Women’s Caucus.

This group will champion Members’ legislative priorities, support their work to secure and retain leadership positions, and elevate their work to make a difference in their districts, states, and nationwide. I'm proud to be the founder and chair of the Caucus in its inaugural year.

Women In Agriculture Day Resolution

Image

As part of Women's History Month and National Agriculture Week, I was proud to join a group of bipartisan, bicameral leaders in declaring Thursday, March 27 National Women In Agriculture Day. As the lone Florida representative on the House Agriculture Committee, I'm always so proud of the amazing women who feed, clothe, and fuel our nation.

Thank you to all of the amazing women in Florida agriculture who proudly support our state and the future of agriculture for our youth.

Keeping Children Safe Online

Image

On Wednesday morning, the House Energy & Commerce Committee held a hearing about keeping children safe online. Topics ranged from deepfake pornography depicting children to unsafe content shown to children on platforms across the internet. It's clear that Congress can and must do more to protect our children online and hold the social media and Big Tech giants accountable for failing to uphold their own standards.

While we had parents of children who have been affected by online tragedies, Democrats instead chose to focus on former FTC Commissioner Slaughter who was dismissed at the start of the Trump administration and make the focus of the hearing all about partisanship. It was a disappointing show of hyper-partisanship on an issue that should be all about keeping our children safe. Take a look.

Breaking Ground On New Synthetic Turf Fields In Ocala

Image

This past week I joined leaders in Marion County to break ground on the new synthetic turf fields at the Rotary Sportsplex in Ocala. The new turf will provide year-round opportunities for residents, their families, and children to enjoy the beauty of the park while enjoying safe exercise on the new soccer fields.

I look forward to enjoying the fields when they're done and seeing how our community continues to use these awesome recreational spaces in North Central Florida. Special thanks to the Parks & Recreation Department for all of their hard work in making this project a reality!

Activist Judges Against President Trump

Image

This past weekend, I joined Mike Emanuel on Fox News Saturday Live to discuss activist judges attempting to thwart President Trump's authority in deporting illegal gang members. President Trump is within his rights to deport individuals who do not belong in our country. Period.
