Week of March 31, 2025
A Big Weekend Ahead For The Gators

Dear Neighbor,

This week was another busy one in Washington, D.C. We celebrated the launch of the Republican Women's Caucus at the Library of Congress on Wednesday, welcoming hundreds of women leaders and celebrating all of the important work ahead. Thank you to everyone for joining us and to my Senate Co-Chair Senator Katie Britt for her leadership.

Additionally, the Energy & Commerce Committee held a Health Subcommittee hearing on the future of over-the-counter drugs. You can watch my line of questioning during the hearing here.

In the district, we attended several incredible events, including the Longines League of Nations event at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, followed by the Indoor Track World Masters Championship in Gainesville. Our team also attended a ceremony in Green Cove Springs honoring the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. Take a look at the photos from these events below.

The House returns next week for the final of three weeks in session. Stay tuned to see the updates in next week's newsletter.

Finally, our very own Florida Gators play in the Final Four this weekend. The first game is tomorrow night with the national championship game on Monday if the Gators win Saturday. Let's go Gators!

With all that's happening this new Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we've been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on XFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

For the Republic,

Santa Fe President Visits Washington

Image

Thrilled to see Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II in town this week! He presented me with a Santa Fe mascot for our baby girl and a Santa Fe "Mom" sticker in honor of our big announcement last week!

We're fortunate to have excellent educational institutions in Florida's Third with leaders like President Broadie paving the way for student success. Thank you for the kind gifts and for visiting our office.

Recognizing Vietnam War's 50th Anniversary

Image

Our team honored the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War this past weekend in Green Cove Springs. Our Director of Military and Veterans Affairs, Dave Hill, spoke at the event, honoring the fallen and recognizing the service of those who made it home. During a time in our nation's history when Vietnam War veterans were vilified upon their return, it's important to show our respect and honor the brave servicemembers and their families.

Thank you to the many groups who participated and organized the event.

Longines League Of Nations

I joined the team at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala for the North American qualifier of the Longines League of Nations. Our United States home team came out on top with a victory in front of an American crowd—there's nothing better! Thanks to our amazing athletes and the team at WEC for putting on a world-class event!

Indoor Track World Masters Championship Visits Alachua

Image

I had the opportunity to attend and speak at the Indoor Track World Masters Championship program in Gainesville! It was amazing to see so many athletes from around the world with over 80 countries participating in the events at our very own Celebration Pointe.

Thank you to the hardworking teams in Alachua County and Gainesville for making these events possible and coordinating the travel to our region.

Crowning The Wing King

Team Kat joined the Arc of Marion for the 2025 King of the Wing event for a good cause! Dozens of local businesses and organizations teamed up for flavorful fun, making it nearly impossible to choose the winner. Thanks to all who participated in delivering delicious wings for us to try.
