There's nothing quite like August work period back in Florida!

 
This month was full of reminders of why I love representing Florida's 3rd District. I spent time sitting down with the people I represent, getting a firsthand look at the work happening in our communities. From ribbon cuttings to local facility tours, every stop was a chance to listen, learn, and connect with the people who make our communities great. 

I'm grateful to have spent the last month in North Central Florida with the folks who make our communities so special. Now, it's time to keep fighting in Washington!

August Case Work Update 

Last month, Team Kat delivered $347,712 to families across FL-03 and closed 277 cases. Since I took office, we've brought $124.6 million back to our district.

Every one of those numbers represents a neighbor who needed help. A veteran waiting on benefits. A senior navigating Social Security. A family trying to get answers from a federal agency. Behind every case is a person, and Team Kat is committed to making sure they get the help they deserve.

Republican Women's Caucus

As Chair of the Republican Women's Caucus, I've spent this year co-leading a bipartisan effort with Democratic Women's Caucus Chair Teresa Leger Fernández to combat sexual misconduct in Congress. 

Accountability can't begin and end with expulsions or resignations. I'm working to deliver real solutions that will prevent bad behavior in the first place through better training, real transparency, and reporting systems that staff can actually trust. 

This is how we restore integrity in our institutions and bring real accountability to the People's House. That's the kind of leadership FL-03 sent me to Washington to provide, and it's the kind I'll keep fighting for.

Haven Hospice Tour

I had the opportunity to spend the day with the lovely ladies at Haven Hospice and witnessed firsthand the compassionate care their team provides to families throughout North Central Florida. 

For 47 years, they have been a pillar of support for our community, and you can feel that dedication the moment you step inside. I'm proud to support an organization doing such meaningful work. That's community done right! 

Dixie County First Responders

I had the pleasure of spending time with Dixie County first responders.

These brave men and women dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. These local heroes show up and answer the call every day without hesitation. From law enforcement to firefighters to EMS personnel, their service embodies the very best of FL-03. 

Newberry Community School Ribbon Cutting 

It was a privilege to be part of the opening of Newberry Community School.

This is what happens when a community comes together and puts the next generation first. Principal Roberts and her incredible staff, the parents who fought to make this school a reality, and the City of Newberry all stood behind our students every step of the way to make this day happen. 

Their dedication is a reminder that the best investments we make are in our kids and their future. That kind of commitment doesn't happen everywhere, and it's exactly what makes FL-03 special.

UF's Autodesk Design and Make Laboratory Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

It was an honor to speak at the University of Florida’s ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the launch of its new Autodesk Design and Make Laboratory.

This facility is the most advanced robotics lab in the country focused on industrialized construction, giving students hands-on experience with the robotics and cutting-edge technology reshaping the industry.

The University of Florida's investment in this facility and its students is an investment in the next generation of American innovators. Proud to see the future being built right here in Gator Nation!

I joined Newsmax's American Agenda to discuss my work as Chair of the Republican Women’s Caucus to strengthen the rules governing relationships between Members of Congress and their staff. We need clear standards that protect staff, prevent abuses of power, and hold Members accountable when those standards are violated.
